Yeah I have a DVD player, but I have to constantly switch the wires in the back of the TV in order to play DVDs. I don't have another console.
Wow, why don't we get a VCR attachment while we're at it. That format's going to be near dead not far after Nintendo's onto their next console. We don't need it.Who here would like to spend $20 on a cheap DVD player over buying a whole new console or an attachment that'll surely cost far more than the DVD player?Invest in a switch box if you're tired of changing the plugs in the back of your TV. That's how I have all my old consoles hooked up to one screen.

And they only cost $11 or so. DVD player + switch box is still less than an overpriced non-necessary peripheral.
I don't think they have announced that they were going to put DVD compatibility on the Wii, at least not in the US.
