i am from europe and i managed to get mario kart two days before it's oficial release date here.now iam playing and i have some thoughts to share and discuss what other think about this game.let's see the stages first.it has some around 30 stages.some of them are new and some are from older mario kart games and have been upgraded to look better(snes, nintendo 64,gba,ds)the new stages offer a lot changes to try the new stunt system which is a new fine addition to the series.new to mario kart games is also the fact that if you follow close your oponent for some time you will be able to win extra speed for a while.the modes are single, multiplayer, battle mode, versus, time trials and nintendo wi fi.the singles are 50cc,100cc and 150cc.let's go to vehicles now.all charachters have right from the start a big variety of vehicles to choose and for the first time ever motorbikes.graphics and sound in my opinion is what you should wait from a mario kart game and they manage to do their job i you also consider that now every race has 12 persons.another thing to see is that you can also use miis while you race (after you unlock them).the most important thing in this game is the motion controls.i believe that they work great.the wii wheel has a great design and if you put aside your wories and fears and try it you will see that it is awesome.you can also race with all other control options(wii remote, classic controller, gamecube controler, wii remote and nunchuk)but i think that you must try and see how awesome wii wheel really is.power sliding may seem a litlle dificult with motion controls at the start but when you will practice some time you will not want to choose other control options.i have not played wii fi so far but i can say that it creates a new wii channel that keeps statistics.the game is also full of details about the races you took part in and a lot other.generally i believe that this game can keep the harcore pleased and can atract new audiences that have never played a videogame before.it manages to win all wories and bad thoughts and it is a great game all must see.what do you think abou this game?will you get it?what are your thoughts about the motion controls?i got mario kart wii.impesions, thoughts, ...

Thanks for all the info, but a lot of us already new about this stuff due to the All you need to know about Mario Kart thread that's been going
...and one more thing, for an easier read, it'd be bes...*walks into wall o' text*:P
Thanks for the info.
I have some questions:
How is the overall ''racing feel'' compared to MK64 or MKDD.
Is the new battle mode better then the regular one cause I heard some bad things about it and it's my favorite part of Mario kart actually.
I think this is going to be the second best racing game, ever! From what I've heard, the drifting, speed and overall feel of driving is better than most other versions and you don't have that stupid ''wiggle the stick'' speed boost thing. Don't think it'll beat Super Mario Kart for the perfect powerslides and battle mode.
racing feels great like all mario kart games.i believe that it is closer to how mario kart ds felt..if you play with the motion controls the game feels more fresh and the new stages add new elements to the gameplay like stunts.the battle mode has a bigger selection of stages this time.you can select from new and older upgraded stages.it is divided at selecting coins and at baloons fighting.in both there are two teams.you belong in one of them and try to make your team to win.you do not lose when you lose all your balloons.you continue until the end of the time that the team with the most points win.besides fighting for your team you also fight for yourself because the players are ranked in the end based on what they did in the battle mode.

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll be able to get it tomorrow. Can't wait.
Thanks. Sounds great.
Still a little sceptic (sp?) about the battle mode though. I'll have to see it for myself tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
So who are all the characters? Anyone that hasn't been mentioned in the sticky thread before?
Sounds good. I'll be posting one of these when I try it, just not as long.
So do you really like the game? Is it good/great/so so?Were you unimpressed by it?Does it get old quick?I'm not feeling the magic yet, that's why I'm asking those questions.
OT: That sig is awesome. Smart man whoever said that. I still think the Dreamcast was one of the best systems of it's time EVER. Can't believe the final push for Sega was awesome, but unsuccessful.Back on topic, I just don't understand the appeal of Mario Kart. The N64 Kart was the peak of my days with it. Not knocking it, just isn't my cup of tea...I'll wait it out for Okami.
