getting a wii as soon as I can find one in stock somewhere. I can't wait to play some good 'ol fashioned mario goodness. My question is what accessories should I pick up in addition to the console? How does this sound:console + wiimoteclassic controllernunchukwiimotenycko charge station +batteriesanything else?Edit: do i need memory cards for Virtual Console games?I plan on...
If you still have a GC, those controllers work on it. I never bothered with the classic controller myself.I plan on...

If you have a Gcube controller than I wouldn't get the classic controller. And rechargeable batteries work fine.

That sounds pretty good to me.I'm thinking about getting that nyko charge station too. Let me know how it works out when you get it.

A reputable brand of rechargeable batteries. I suggest Energizer.Just make sure they're rated 2500 or higher, charge stations are wastes of money

Problem solved :PThough I admit I didn't know that. Why is it awkward...?

alright, how about this:
console + wiimoteclsk controllernunchukwiimoterechargeable batteries (2500 mAH or greater)battery charger

Less of a hassle, always putting batteries in and taking them out. Plus it's a cool looking accessory to have around your tv :)
the wiimotes come with a set of AA batteries right? the the charge stations, if I were to get one, come with rechargeable AAs?
The Wii's batteries are NOT rechargable. I went to Wal Mart and bought
the wiimotes come with a set of AA batteries right? the the charge stations, if I were to get one, come with rechargeable AAs?
The Wii's batteries are NOT rechargable. I went to Wal Mart and bought a battery charger that came with 2 additional rechargable batteries and 2 more I bought seperately. It's been a year since I've first played my wii (even though I bought in January of 07.) and I've never had to buy another set of AA ever again. Also, you don't a need a Classic controller if you have a GC controller for VC. And some games can be played by just the Wii Remote.

I've only used AA batteries in my remotes since I got the thing, and they don't die quickly. I play GH3 a lot and even that won't kill the batteries like I thought it would. If you don't want to spend money on a charger and rechargeables that are going to need to be replaced soon enough, then I'd go with AAs.
oh and also, watch the superstores weekly ads in the paper (wal-mart, target) because if they have the wii in their ad, most likely they'll have it in the store when they open that sunday morning. they can't really advertise what they don't have.also, when I say ''have the wii in their ad'' I mean like the console itself is pictured.
the wiimotes come with a set of AA batteries right? the the charge stations, if I were to get one, come with rechargeable AAs?
The charge station comes with a rechargeable battery pack that plugs into the Wiimote, then you just set the Wiimote onto the charger when you aren't playing. It's not batteries. It's just like the battery pack on the 360 play and charge kit if you've ever used that.
