new to the (wii) game

I went to gamestop to trade in my 360 and everything i have for it to get trade in credit (i don't play it anymore). they had some promo going on and i got 30% for everything. i ended up getting about $350 for all of it. I was gonna jsut get 2 new sual shock controllers for the ps3 adn save the rest to pay off other games. I jsut happend to ask the guy when they were gonna get wii's and he was like ''we got some now'' I jumped on it fast. I know my kid would ove it anyway and all i want is SSBB and Mario Kart. After reading the Tech Center on gamespot on the wii, I decided im just gonna get component cables, extra controller, and a chargable station for the controllers. am i missing anything?new to the (wii) game
if u dont have wireless internet you might want to get the usb adapternew to the (wii) game
if u plan to really play a lot i would be the charging station, but if u got some normal charging station for batteries i would just take those.
The Zapper doesn't work with RE4 or Metroid. I'd skip the Zapper, unless more games start to use it in the future. I think your set.

Well, the zapper would technically ''work''...it's just a shell, doesn't do anything electronically. But I wouldn't bother. It's awkward feeling, and not worth the money, IMHO.

Sure it does. It would technically work with any game. Like I said, it doesn't actually do anything at all. It's just a holder for your Wii remote and nunchuck. That doesn't change the fact that it's a waste of money, but it would ''work'' in the sense that the games would function exactly the same with it as they do without. The only problem I could see is that if I remember right the C and Z buttons are not that accessible from the zapper. Either way, it's really uncomfortable, and I think it makes pretty much any game experience worse, exponentially. I own Link's Crossbow training (which is actually a good game), and I play it only without the zapper.
aight, what about a memory card. would i need that?

aight, what about a memory card. would i need that?
Nope, the Wii's got 512mb of internal memory for game saves.
if u ever want to play gamecube games on it though then u will need a gamecube controller and gamecube memory card. wii games use the internal memory though as said above so no worries there. u could get a SD card to back up stuff but its not needed by any means.if ure lookin for games then i think theres a sticky at the top of this forum.
