Gamecube had two metroids so I don't doubt that Wii will too. However, now that the Prime series is presumably over, i'm not sure if we will see the next series untill Nintendo's next console. But even if that's so, I still expect another game, but not one telling what happens after Corruption. Personally i'd love a game about Samus's past where you actualy get to do your job and be a bounty hunter for once.Next Metroid Game - Your Predictions

Ahh....Im sort of new to the Metroid series. I didn't play them as a young child. So I didn't know that. I'm playing Super Metroid on the VC and It's amazing. I also played Prime but I'm starting to get into the series that's why I posted this.

If there is another FPA game like the Primes, I hope it's a totally fresh experience. As much as I love them, the Prime formula is getting old (even though 3 was a bit of a refresher).
But I think we've heard enough from Samus for a few years at least. Plus I want to see what else talented developers Retro Studios can do.

Yeah I'd like to see that too. I'm predicting no more Metroids on the Wii. Maybe a remake on WiiWare.

haha, I made a thread on this last week.anyway it's probably gonna be a storyline between samus and sylux. probably a triology again.i would love for retro to move into the direction of 3rd person shooter/fighter/action game. samus does more than use her beam cannon and I would love for this to be reflected in games. in mp3 we saw dark samus and gandrayda doing all this amazing stuff while we just sat there and shot at them and I felt a lil robbed. samus does all these things too. that thing she uses as a grapple also doubles as a sword and her boots help her somewhat fly and stuff. . 3rd person would be awesome. just dont make her looks like a lil character on screen. i wanna see her use her grabble and grab enemies towards her then like beat the 'ish out of them like some sub-zero type stuff. that would be awesome. they could also incorporate fsp themes as well. no harm in that. it would be awesome because we would actually get to play as zero suit samus and see her do her thang rather than using some lazer gun. I also want to use the ship to do some space combat. that would be hot.also more of an open free roam type enviroments. i dont like the maze feeling of the prime triologies much. plus we could work wonders with the wii-mote. the game would be so awesome. just thinking about it gets me aroused.and i'm not bashing this game. its my favorite game for the wii.watch this and sort've get an idea of what i'm talking abouthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL-mR79GErU

Oh, I'm also predicting that there wont be anymore metroid games on wii. I think retro wants to focus on some other games and probably hold off the next series for the next-gen. i wouldnt mind as long as the experience is hot.love how they left us hanging at the end of mp3 in the 100% ending.
I would like a new dev team to create a 2d Metroid while the creators of the Prime series work on a new FPS IP for Nintendo... and hopefully the main character would be a good edition to the Nintendo universe.
I'd love another game like Fusion or Super Metroid. The Primes are great, but we need another awesome 2D Metroid.
I think Metroid is going to go Handheld for a while.Maybe they'll pull a MGS2 and well end up playing a different character for 3/4th of the next game.

I think, if they make a new one, it will be Samus Teamed up with some player, most likely Sylux.As for 2D or 3D, I don't see what is sooo great about 2D. (No, Paper Mario DOESN'T count) You can't make a good game with only 2D. You can't hide stuff...in a good spot atleast. Cause it didn't have any of the problems you're stating and it was named, a couple of times in a couple of different places, as the best game of all time.

Cause it didn't have any of the problems you're stating and it was named, a couple of times in a couple of different places, as the best game of all time.EDIT: as for graphics, they can make some pretty awesome 2D games nowadays with incredible animation and intense artistic style.
I want another game, but thats more intensive on shooting, and not as much puzzle solving.i just wanna shoot some aiiens in the head without having to figure out how to get around.
I'm ready for a side-scrolling Metroid again. Or, maybe, just maybe, a Mass Effect style Metroid where you can go from planet to planet, that would be pretty cool. Or maybe a GTA, sandbox style type of Metroid, that would be a new forray for the franchise. Finally, maybe a RPG style Metroid, I'd be down with that...if it was made in conjunction with Bioware. Bottom line, I'm ready for whatever Nintendo throws at us, they have yet to give us a lackluster Metroid....knock on wood.
