Nintendo Vip Stars

Anyone know what those stars do?Can you buy virtual console games with them? because i've got loads from GC,DS and Wii games.Nintendo Vip Stars
At the moment you can only buy desktop wallpapers and things like that with them, but I did here that there are plans to let you buy wii points with them. You'll probably have to spend about a milion stars for one wii point thoughNintendo Vip Stars
Well i quick count i did gave me 4455.should i sign up and spend them or wait (possibly for ever) in the hope that i can use them for VC games?

Then just see if you want to wait, or get a few cool wallpapers!

A lot of them you get just for entering the codes! so go for it!
I signed up, and saw that they had a ds game on there but its sold out. any idea if they re stock them as i don't want any phone tunes.
I'm pretty sure that Nintendo stated that you would be able to use your stars for VC games... a rumor a couple of days ago came from a swedish nintendo magazine or something where they said that 4 stars would = 1 point, don't remember the links or anything though... but I would just register the products seeing as you get wallpapers and stuff just for doing it plus you get 5 stars every day when you visit the site so if 4 stars = 1 point thats a point a day already with an extra point on the 4th day :P

I'm not pretty sure, but I think that was a promotion!



But the point is, you NEED to have the points in that account to buy VC games in the future (If they ever allow it), and when you insert a code from a game, you get some cool wallpapers from the game! So do it!

Sometimes, they put more stock, and some times they don't.
I bought Animal crossing from them with my star points, and realise that the game sucks! :( but hey, free memory card!

Ive read a few times lately on a few sites that it's going to be 8000 star points for 2000 wii points. Ive been collecting since the GC launch and have added many points from GC's, DS's, GBA's, a Wii and about 40-50 games and got 450 points from regular visits to the site and from 4 years ive only just broke the 8000 star points mark so i know many people will have less then 8000 and will be disappointed when this system finally comes out.

Apologies for being cynical, but it seems that on this board, there are at least a few people who are disappointed with just about every move made by Nintendo (regarding the Wii).



Personally, I think the star point conversion sounds great. Go free money!
