i mean common, twilight princess is the best zelda ever created...but not for its time...ocarina is the best for its time, but still twilight princess was so genious, it had amazin art, great story, great themes, it was really great..i dont mind a few posts here and there, but this twilght princess bashing is becoming like the halo 3 vs cod4 war, and the gears /R6v that was/is on the 360 forums....also, this is for hardcore gamers..who here agrees with me that twilight princess was an excellent game, and is as good as ocarin and link to the past..why all the twilight princess hating....
It was good.
And so was the others I guess.
I'm still trying to get into Ocarina. But still, everyone can have their own opinion on it.why all the twilight princess hating....
Everyone has preference, don't worry about it, there will always be people who don't like a certain game, or genre, for example, I have a great disgust for Halo, but I keep that to myself. Everyone likes one thing versus another, its only human.
People complain because it just wasn't very innovative. I mean sure, they had the whole Wolf Link world stuff, but otherwise it was simply a successor to OoT. A number of longtime Zelda fans felt that it was just more of the same. I think that the game is great, but as I was going through the dungeons it was basically just getting from point A to point B. You know, put this bomb here to open a door, pull this giant block around the room until it sits on a switch, and so on.Still a great game, but nothing revolutionary. I think that's what people were looking for, but were disappointed by more of the same.
I think that people don't like TP because they were expecting too much... Don't get me wrong, TP is a great game, but everybody thought it's gonna be a revoulutionary zelda like OOT.
I never really liked zelda games at all, and im still trying to get into it, i cant even beat Ocarina of time (i got stuck) , the only real reason i played through TP was mainly Midna.the reason for wanting to get into zelda was its music.
ehh S.S.D.D.
Hate is a strong word to use, but the game has it`s flaws and people took note of it.

People seem to overreact to them pointing out their displeasures as if they called the game garbage. Sort of like how all the sheep acted when JeffG gave out the infamous 8.8 as if it was 6.0 as you say.

Sadly this is the minority.again, hate is the right word.
That guy even admits he wasn't a fan of the series in the first place. I'm not going to take whatever he says to the heart.

They liked it, but were let down in aspects of the game. The ones that truly didn't like it mention they were never really fans and one even states he doesn't like RPGs, so I assume he is lumping Zelda into the wrong genre, so I can't really take their opinions seriously.
I loved it
I loved it
It's my favorite out of the bunch. It is the most refined Zelda game to date, and refinement is not a bad thing. You can't innovate everything all the time. This game still brought more to the Zelda franchise, then most sequels do for their respected franchises. You know it's a good franchise when the thing people criticize is that it didn't totally re-invent gaming. It's another great Zelda game.....jeez.It's like SMG. I wouldn't mind a flat out sequel, but it would probably get bashed for not being completely new and different. I do understand that we need advancement, and criticism can lead to that, but we the fans were begging for a Zelda experience closer to Ocarina for years. Then when Nintendo gave the fans what they asked for alot of you had nothing to do but complain.
I thought the game was fine, but I don't keep coming back to it like OoT. I suppose it did feel a bit like a re-hash, I mean MM and wind waker tried to add something new, or focus on different aspects. It would never have the same nostalgia value of OoT, and does feel less innovative in its dungeon design, so it gets judged harshly for it. The overworld wasn't as compelling for me either. It's still a very polished game, but I agree with a score of 8.8.

Windwaker was a bit different with the nautical theme and stuff and people complained about it being different. I think a lot of people just complain because Zelda is a great franchise and they expect perfect games. It's hard to blame them for that, but no game is perfect so somebody will always find something to complain about. For my part I enjoyed Twilight Princess a whole lot, just like all the rest of them.

I totally agree with you, I thought TP was as good if not better than OoT and LttP.
I think everyone is hating it because it got a 8.8/8.9 from Gamespot... It defenitely deserves at least a 9.0 then everyone would be happy.
