Why is the Wii called a next gen console ...

i mean the the orignal xbox has better graphics then the wii. The wii has no good games cant play blue rays has crappy grpahics yet it is called a next gen console the only new thing they added was the controller which doesnt even work as good as most of us hoped. the only reason its selling so good is cause its cheap and all u wii owners cant afford proper next gen consoles like the 360 and ps3. not to mention the wii gets no good games its missin out on halo 3, gta4, god of war 3, killzone 2 ,gears of war 2 , mgs4 and the list goes on why would anyone be stupid enough to buy the wii unless ur 5yrs old u shouldnt?Why is the Wii called a next gen console ...

It is next gen. But, Nintendo has always targeted thier products to smaller children mainly between the ages of 5-13. Systems like the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 are targeted at mature, more elite gamers. So it's all in good perspective.
Lolz, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario Galaxy are the only games I need to mention to prove your entire post wrong. The Wii isn't a next generation console in graphics, but it is overall a next generation console because of it's motion. I think you got it all mucked up, the PS3's Six Axis wasn't even as good as we hoped. Ever heard of Lair buddy? I don't think anyone even uses the Six Axis in terms of it's motion. By the way, I hate it how people say ''the Wii has no good graphics, it can't be a next generation console.'' That my friend, is absolutely bull.The Wii is selling because it targets a casual audience, in fact most of the people I know who don't like games that much have a Wii and they absolutely love it!Also don't come saying that Wii owners are poor and have no money to buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360. I have a PS3 and a Wii and to tell you honestly the Wii is something way newer than the PS3, I still like them both though. I bought the Wii so tha I could enjoy a new gaming experience and guess what? That's exactly what I got! Your topic was absolutely pointless and didn't change my mind about the Wii. The only reason you are saying bad stuff about the Wii is because your jealous that it's selling more than the PS3 and the Xbox 360. You have tried and failed, goodbye!
Dude, first of all, graphics are not everything. I don't know how many times it has to be said. Also, I got a Wii so I could play games, not watch movies. That is why I have a freakin' DVD player and a laptop.The Wii is truely the only next-gen console. The reason being, it totally changed the means by which people play games. One more thing. Nintendo has always been looking out for consumers. They do not want to make people spend a lot of money to be able to enjoy their system. I don't own any other system, yet you don't see me talking mess about them, do you?Just go back to your Halo 3, GTA4, god of war 3, killzone 2, gears of war2...... and all those games.

I now realize that games cannot be fun unless you are shooting things. Super Mario Galaxy is now filth to my eyes, and every mention of Mario Kart will produce revulsion in me. Yes, the true benchmark of quality is graphics, not how much fun a game is, how could I have been so stupid!? Wait...are you just upset because you haven't found one yet, is that it? Next Gen ControlsLast Gen GraphicsThe honest truth.But really what bothers me is how it's always put side by side with PS2...And a lot of their games come from either PS2 or GC TP/RE4/Okami etc etc...Games get designed for Wii/PS2 which kind of sucks. Wii doesn't have the graphics, but if they play their cards right it can still look great No More Heroes/Galaxy etc.I still think it's a ton of fun, if you think it's last gen, then don't buy it.
