Why is Wii/DS connectivity so neglected ...

Can anyone answer this. It seems like a lot of games would benefit from this feature and that no developers are using it. Off the top of my head, Pokemon Battle Revolution and My ________ Coach are the only games to utilize Wii/DS connectivity. Seriously, any game where writing is invloved or where something must be done very percisely with the Wii IR, would probably be better off using the DS's touch screen as the stylus is easier to write with as a pencil than the Wii Remote is. For the critics who complain of how annoying the Wii Remote to use the Celestial Brush in Okami is, they should complain that the DS isn't a control option. Why is Wii/DS connectivity so neglected ...
Nintendo needs to spearhead it and developers will follow. Nintendo has basically only done Pokemon Revolution and it was a terrible game.BTW Geometry Wars: Galaxies has a dS connection. I recommend trying that out.Why is Wii/DS connectivity so neglected ...
They should use connectivity but I would be very opposed to it being something that is necessary for major portions of the game to be played. I don't have a DS so I didn't buy the Wii Pokemon game because I heard it heavily relied on DS interaction. Really other than them both being made by Nintendo they don't have much to do with each other.

The wireless just makes it even better. Its a no brainer and Nintendo is just once again sitting on their hands.
there should be a download station wiiware app where you could download demos and what not.

Four Swords Adventure would be a perfect fit. *prays for Four Swords on Wii with DS compatibility* :P

I wonder why the connectivity hasn't utilized to a great extent especially since both Wii and DS are still selling like crazy.
Stuff like four swords and crystal cronicals are obvious fits as they could be done a lot better now that we don't need the stupid cables. I would love to see a MGS game where you can use the DS as your communicator...I mean, the com in MGS looks like a DS after all.

That'd be cool. There's a ton of things the Wii/DS compatability could work into.
It'd be neat if there was a Wii Chat Channel or something, and you could use your DS and it's pictochat functions to talk with people or post picto-chat messages on their Wii message board.
It'd also be kinda neat if some FPS dev let you use the DS for your controller if you wanted to. Touch screen is good for stuff like that.

I've often thought about this myself.I'd really like to get a version of Secret of Mana for both DS/Wii. Anyone who played it on multiplayer as a kid will remember how awful the battles can be, as you have to pause the entire game for each character in order to use your magic and items. Which was annoying as all hell, and seemingly the only flaw in the game. I can imagine watching/playing the game on Wii, while using my DS touch screen to control my character's moves and spells, items, and whatnot. With the other 2 players doing the same, as to not have to pause the game every 4 seconds during battles. Could be freakin' great.

But something like FFCC where you have tremendous multitasking it was definitely cool but alot of work to get four handhelds.
Its alot easier now because there is no wire its all done through wifi.
