Is it normal for the wiimote to shut off quickly after pressing the ''home'' button? Only during virtual console though, the menu seems to work fine outside of virtual console. But while playing virtual console games with the classic controller plugged in, it usually shuts off so quick I can't even reset the game. I have to turn it on again and navigate the menu quickly before it shuts off again. Is that normal?Outside of the virtual console the wiimote has only shut off once undesirably. That was after quitting bowling and returning to the Wii Sports main menu. Is it normal for it to shut off by itself on occasion?I have a rechargeable battery pack from Psyclone Essentials. Anybody know if that brand is any good? Could this be related to the wiimote shutting off? My friend said Psyclone products pretty much suck, so I was curious. And, maybe most important and simple: Can I charge the battery pack by plugging the wiimote into a usb port on my laptop? It doesn't seem to charge plugged into the wii when the wii is in standby, and I'd like to be able to turn off the wii while charging the wiimote.I'm paranoid I may have screwed up going with a no name brand battery pack. Thanks for the help.wiimote questions
Wiimotes aren't supposed to do that. And I've never heard of ''Psyclone Essentials'', so you might've bought a bogus brand battery pack. And no, you can't charge the wiimote by plugging it into a USB port, as the Wiimote wasn't meant for Rechargeable batery packs in the first place.wiimote questions
That's really strange. It sounds like there's more going on than just a battery pack issue. It could be the cause, but your Wiimote or your Wii might be messed up. Never heard that one before, hmm....good luck!
Just buy rechargeable double AAs. They are much better then those battery packs which can damage the wiimote.
