Will I ever buy a FPS?

With the Wii's new control mechanics, I just haven't been able to get into any of the shooters. Yes, i know, you eventually get used to it, but i am really impatient. They only way I could see myself playing a FPS on the wii is if it allowed GC controller compatablility of Classic controller. Then again, all the awesome new games seem to have multiple controller options(SSBB, Mario Kart Wii). Do you guys think the secondary controller option be avaible ever? Will I ever buy a FPS?
I don't think so, since most people love the Wii mote style for FPS, including me. Just handle the controller and rest your arm above your leg and you'll probably be pointing better. Will I ever buy a FPS?
NoIf you don't like the main control scheme then you have to either not play that genre or adapt.
It will not happen. The FPS controls have been terrible for every Wii shooter so far. MoH was ok as well as MP3, but nothing has felt right. I remember when the controller was first announced, I thought it was going to be so great playing FPS on the Wii...but there are to many problems for me to enjoy any that have come out so far. I don't think we should have to adapt to something that just doesn't work well. I have almost given up on waiting for a good shooter on the Wii. Glad I have a 360, home of the shooter.
The only shooter I have is Metroid and the controls are great.
I didn't really buy the Wii for FPS anyway. I have Metroid Prime 3: Corruption though and it's probably the best FPS for the Wii. I'd say just buy an FPS for your PC instead.
For most of the great shooters on the Wii, the controls are one of the most redeeming qualities. They may take a while to get used to, and after successfully beating a Wii game (excluding Wii Sports and Wii Play), you should be used to the controls and have no problem using them in an FPS. The best game universally categorized as an FPS is Medal of Honor Heroes 2, and the controls scheme is absolutely great. They don't feel like a novelty and they might be some of the best controls ever implemented in a game. Other games that are debatbly FPS's include Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (which I consider to be a first-person action/adventure) and Elebits (which many people can't even categorize), both of which have top-notch control schemes for anyone willing to give them a chance. Will you ever buy an FPS? It comes down to whether or not you're willing to adapt, and now that Sony is using some motion controls and Microsoft plans to do it in the future, you'll need to adapt to play almost all video games in the future.

I can't control them even close to as well as I can with the wiimoteMOH has imo the best FPS controls for any game to date

They are getting a little better, but I dont see them being perfect any time soon. I am big on fast pace shooters like Halo and CoD4. I am still looking for that on a Wii.
