Wireless USB Adapter vs Lan Adapter

I've finally gotten my USB Lan Adapter in, and I can't get it to work. I've tried all of the different solutions to no avail. I'm assuming that my cable modem is just not compatible with the Wii, since I plug the Ethernet cord straight from the cable modem into the Wii Lan Adapter(Which is obviously connected to the Wii via USB). So I was wondering, if my cable modem is not compatible with my Wii, or possibly just the lan adaptor itself, what are the odds of the Wifi Wireless USB adaptor working? I'm tempted to spend my money on one to give it try.Wireless USB Adapter vs Lan Adapter
ya know whats odd? I cant find the usb adapter at any store around me. I've got the lan adapter but I want to get it wireless. Interesting.Wireless USB Adapter vs Lan Adapter
I've heard it was discontinued, but there are a few(Or at least were) at my local Wal-Mart.

I thought it was only available on the online store :?

btw TC, If you have Vista on your computer, you'll have to download the driver for it here. Thought I'd give you a heads up just in case. I don't have the USB adapter but I've been thinking about getting the LAN adapter so I can play online in my dorm. anyone know if it's hard to set up?
You don't have a router? Did you complete all the settings in the Wii?
You don't have a router? Did you complete all the settings in the Wii? The wifi usb adapter should work, but then again, so should the wired lan adapter.
Something is screwy there, it's not right.Honestly if you can afford it and use it I would suggest a wireless router to connect the Wii.If that doesn't work also then you're going to be stuck calling Nintendo and seeing about a repair.
You did go into the Wii settings and configure your Wii, right?
